Very interesting, I don't even remember putting it in there but I've been working on this thing for ages so who knows. There's no need for that Config/View folder in the mission anyway and I assume it's the editor that sticks it in by default? Your fix is fine if I play solo or host the mission myself but if I enter a server online with your original mission file I'm stuck with default view, as will anyone else with custom views. I would suggest however that you might want to remove that from any missions yourself before posting them - same goes for all mission makers tbh. I removed the entire Config folder - as there was only "View" folder in there anyway - and that did the trick.

I understand ultimately it's the player's choice, but just am hoping one of. My searches online proved unsuccessful, as people were claiming anything from default to 90 is the perfect value. Go into the config\view folder and try either removing the a file or editing the a file to have the view settings you want and then rename back to a. Any suggestions on what the ideal FoV with Skyrim is - when running at 1920x1080 Anything beyond 75 or so ends up with a significant fish-eye lens look.

zip file and open it up in winzip/winrar or whatever. Some missions don't upset my custom view settings and some do, like this one.Ĭan anyone offer a solution to this as its rather annoying and to be honest its stopping me from flying any missions that override my settings. I've searched for quite a while to find a solution but to no avail. I run triple monitors and this forces me into a view that is too far forward for my liking. So now you have FOV set correctly and you can go ahead and test it. NOTE: If you encounter a mission that overrides your custom view, read the following - posted under comments section for Operation Snowfox v120 by Surrexen in DCS user files:-įor some reason this mission overrides my custom "CameraViewAngleLimits" setting (for KA-50) in Config/View/a. FOV only needs to be changed if any of the listed variables above have changed. I edited the value for "CameraViewAngleLimits". If the Config\View folder does not exist in SavedGames\DCS create a Config folder and copy your View folder into it from DCS World\Config, then edit the a file in there. The file to edit is:- C:\Users\YourUserName\SavedGames\DCS\Config\View\a I fly KA-50 on triple screens (1 camera) with res of 5940 x 1080 You can use either an aspect ratio, or, if you do not know your screens aspect ratio, you can input your screens resolution. If you are however, here is how I managed to effectively move my viewpoint back in cockpit. This calculator will convert an aspect ratio and horizontal FOV to a vertical FOV, useful for setting your favorite horizontal FOV in a game that uses vertical FOV. Been a few months since anyone posted here so not sure if people still struggling with this.
